While quartz is a very popular surface, it is also a misunderstood surface. Quartz is intended to be a low maintenance product, not requiring sealing like natural stone. Because quartz is not porous like natural stone, any coating that is applied will remain on the surface and become the first line of defense against cleaners and daily use.

Over time, this can result in a blotchy finish and leave the overall look very undesirable. In most cases, this is not the finish of the quartz slab material, but the superficial coating and can be restored.
